Today, the competitive circumstances and atmosphere in the organizations is more complex than ever and efficient knowledge management has come to the competition border. Of its important characteristics are the progressive and unexpected increase in the amount of information and, more importantly, the pace of the information becoming obsolete. Accountability and consistency are very necessary to survive in such an atmosphere; so the organizations try to identify the opportunities and make use of them to increase profitability through knowledge management. One of these opportunities is the RQ-170 UAV which technologically contains lots of knowledge for the country. The main aim of this paper is to present a framework for the knowledge obtained from the RQ-170 and the strategic management of that knowledge in the defense industries. The research is conducted in a descriptive method. The information is obtained from books, research papers and other related literature in libraries and internet sites. The fundamental and infrastructural basis effective in knowledge management and a framework for the knowledge obtained from the RQ-170 and the strategic management of this knowledge in the defense industrieshas been identified.
