There are various factors, in accordance with the aims and purposes that form the basis of the formation of organization, which can have prominent and noticeable effects on some organizations’ structure or lack effects on some others. The identification of the aforementioned factors and developing a suitable pattern for the improvement of organizational structures can contribute to the survival and effectiveness of organizations. Military organizations are no exception and it is obvious that the army which identifies more factors and formulates more comprehensive patterns based on them will enjoy a more improved structure and more effective and efficient organization. Organizational management experts mention different factors in their literature and, in a primary formation, divide them into three categories of content, structural and contextual factors. Based on their attitude, experience and findings, they have also stated other factors in subordinate divisions. This paper seeks to find the content factors affecting the improvement of organizational structure of military units and test the obtained factors. The information has been collected using the descriptive, case-study and correlation research method. It finally offers a suitable pattern for the formulation of effective factors in improving the organizational structure of military units. For this purpose, the patterns extracted from more than 30 reliable sources such as books, articles, theses and literatures from lecturers, experts and college references have been investigated and tested so that their validity of their effectiveness in the improvement of organizational structure of military units could be assured.
