Today, education must develop in people capability so that they can keep pace with rapid social changes. To achieve these goals requires diagnosing the talents and abilities of individual students based on ongoing research and investigations according to methodology and scientific standards and to help each student according to his resources and capabilities on the one hand and needs of changing society on the other hand. The purpose of this study is to evaluate advisor services effectiveness in reducing behavioral and academic problems of students in Military University of Imam Ali (AS). Data collection is questionnaire which includes 22 items and the validity and reliability test of questions using a five-item Likert has been confirmed.They have been performed in the Military University of Imam Ali(AS) individually. Statistical methods for data description is descriptive statistics and for data analysis T test independent groups, Pearson's correlation test, Mean test and one-way ANOVA were used.The results indicate that the overall effectiveness are different from the perspective of students and faculty advisors.The rate of overall effectiveness of advisors are also different from the view point of freshmen, sophomore and junior students.
