Analysis of recent wars and proposed definitions of future wars maintain that offender countries in first waves of attacks try to recruit a plenty of facilities to destruct defensive measures of their enemy to reach air superiority which help ground troops to carry out their duties with minimum risk and reach victory. In such a condition, along with catering necessities and facilities in air defense, the command relationships is a crucial factor in reaching unity in using facilities of whole country and gaining success in missions in this field. In this respect, The researcher has tried to investigate the effect of unity of command in improving air defense combat power by presenting a new definition of command. . In order to do this, a descriptive-qualitative methodology has been used and the unity of command as an independent variable and improvement of air defense combat power of Islamic Republic of Iran as a dependent variable were investigated by using field approaches (interview and questionnaires) and library resources (documents and web materials) in a practical research. Finally, the results have been analyzed by combined method (quantitative and qualitative).
