Purpose: One of the approaches of scientific knowledge and academic research on various phenomena is changing towards visual research due to easy, attractive, fast and more believable description. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to explain the characteristics of a professional soldier in combat based on the content analysis of the movie The Wall (2017) directed by Doug Liman. Method: The research method in this study is qualitative content analysis to systematically explain information and reveal hidden meanings. Purposive sampling method was used to select 7 military experts in the field of professional soldier and the movie "The Wall" directed by Doug Liman as a case sample. Findings: Based on the review of the extracted codes during 3 expert meetings, the characteristics of a professional soldier in combat based on the analysis of the content of the film "The Wall" were identified and categorized in 10 axes, which are: 1. Communication and telecommunications, 2. Self-help and others. relief, 3. psychological operations, 4. enemy knowledge, 5. creativity and initiative, 6. comrades, 7. training, 8. speed and accuracy, 9. trying to deceive the enemy and 10. morale.
