The Criteria and Indices of Performance Evaluation System Using a 360 Degree Approach in the Organizations

Abstract

Control and preparedness to face threats and taking advantage of future opportunities is very necessary in every organization. Joining the World Trade Organization has given the organizations and companies an important role, therefore their success depends upon and investigation of weaknesses, strengths, threats and opportunities and formulating the related strategy. In order for the organization to achieve its goals, human force is an irreplaceable resource in creating a competitive advantage and organizations and companies intend to plan and execute a suitable performance evaluation system. This paper tries to investigate the performance evaluation indices through a suitable method and make grounds for the correct planning and execution of a suitable evaluation system by means of presenting appropriate criteria and indices. In the conceptual model of this research, the performance evaluation criteria include the input-based, the output-based, the behavior-based, the value-based, the entrepreneur-based, the development-based and the customer-based criteria, each of which include several indices. Experts in 15 state and private sector organizations were questioned on the necessity and importance of each of the identified elements. The results confirm the collected data and intensify the use of the 360 degree approach.
