Increasing development in information technology and its extensive use in cyber space, along with hardware and software have caused the techniques and methods of war to change greatly. Hence, taking advantages of recent developments in technology is necessary for IRIA. Exact recognition and in time introduction of new defensive measures are of main concern for strategists and players of defense and strategy field. This article aims to study the new patterns of war which the countries with technological power fully pursue in the cyber space and among communication, network and other systems related to computer.The article tries to study cyberspace briefly and analyze its opportunities and threats in a future war. The results show that the threat of cyber war is as serious as that of normal war. Some measures have been introduced to reduce the relative vulnerability of IRIA against cyber attacks.
